Underworld

It's late at night. Father's Day. A deserted warehouse. A dozen men standing facing a wall, hands above their heads. Out of a ruby red limo a steps a man, dressed to the nines, toting a submachine gun. He speaks, and the men are stunned by the sound of his chuckling voice - seconds before they fall in a hail of bullets.

Johnny Crown (Dennis Leary), just released from prison, is on a tour of revenge, hunting down the men who brutally attacked his father exactly seven years earlier. But like everything else, Johnny's going to do it in style. Licensed as a psychotherapist in prison, Johnny is providing his own therapy tonight, executing his revenge while trying to make friends and enemies happy…even if it kills them. He's a therapist, in need of a little treatment himself.

Item number one on Johnny's To Do List, is to pick up his buddy, Frank Gavilan (JOE MANTEGNA), owner of trendy clubs and escort to their sexiest strippers. As part of his quest to make everyone happy, Johnny sets Frank up with his beautiful, estranged, psychologist wife 9ANNABELLA SCIORRA) for some conjugal counseling.

But what Johnny really wants to know, is did Frank mastermind the hit on his father? To find out, Johnny drags Frank along on his evening of murder and mayhem, pausing only momentarily to watch a stripper and sign a little Rogers and Hammerstein. When Frank accuses Johnny of being a psychopath, Johnny scolds him saying he really prefers the term "sociopath".

As Johnny races to complete his revenge by 1:57 AM, the precise time of his fathers attack, he reaches a fever pitch of activity and wit. The final confrontation is about to occur at the Underworld nightclub, where all the suspects and Johnny are gathered; but in this twisted world, no one can be trusted and nobody is who they seem. The answers may only be revealed in the "Underworld."
